STATION MANAGER:

Virgil Thompson serves as the Station Manager of WYBU. With over 22,000 hours of television Station Management he has a wealth of experience to make him a very capable manager. He has worked camera positions, audio setup, served as a host and field reporter, directed and produced, performed master control duties, served as floor manager, and janitorial duties. Whatever it takes to make the station a success. Virgil has served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Brotherhood Director, Youth Director, Finance Chairman, and currently helps with the sound and lighting booth at Summerville Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama. He and his wife Janis have 4 grown children.

CHIEF ENGINEER:

Keith Jones is our version of 'Bob The Builder'. Can he fix it? Yes, he can. Whether working with advanced equipment or his trusty duct tape, he handles it all. Jones takes care of all of our problems here at WYBU. Jones has been known to help in Knoxville and Macon. He has worked hard with his Master Control Operators, and does what ever he can to help them. Keith Jones and his wife Jennifer have two kids, Jeff and Jonathan. John is a superstar at Northern little league.

EDITOR,PRODUCTION:

At age 21, Alex has a wealth of television production experience. Alex has directed such local shows as TV 16's daily morning show, Open Mic-a weekly call in show of national, state, and local issues, Unity with Pam Hovey-a local community program, Out of Order-a weekly political call in show, Chamber Vision-a half hour weekly program featuring the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, John 3:16-a weekly hour program with Pastor Earl Rawlings, and telethons. Alex has peformed Audio and Video taping of every episode for the old TV 16's hit program Karaoke Kraziness. He edits and produces commercials utilizing non-linear editing equipment. His hardwork and dedication to WYBU has helped the station grow and expand. With over 12,000 hours of television experience, Alex can assist you with any of your production needs. He is a huge Braves fan which earns him respect until he loses that respect in November while pulling for the Auburn Tigers.

MASTER CONTROL, WEBSITE MGR:

Jeremy Knipe currently handles Master Control duties. Knipe also has done what he has to do as far as Traffic Manager duties. He has updated and maintained daily and monthly program schedules. He also created and updates this wonderful, easy to read website. He's also a member of the PCT Crew.

Begin Again Farms

Begin Again Farms is a nonprofit organization devoted to the care and rehabilitation of abused and needy horses. Located in Ellerslie, Harris County, Georgia, Begin Again Farms began in response to the need in the Harris County area for an equine rescue shelter. The idea for the shelter came from Donald Malloy after he took in a lame horse captured by the Sheriff. Watch their television ad by clicking the picture.
